Very Important Message...

As you may know, I'm doing Jim Henson and the Muppets for my 20th Century History project. Today, May 16th, is the anniversary of Jim Henson's death. You may not care much about it, but he is my idol. Jim Henson is my idol. You may not respect him very much at this point but later on, after you see my oral presentation, you will see that Jim was a master mind, and that we'll never see a man like him ever again. Thank you for all you've done, Jim.

Jim Henson’s most famous quote is, “My hope still is to leave the world a bit better for my having been here.”

He did made the world better influencing millions of children and adults in the world. With every showing of an episode of the Muppets or Sesame Street, another child or adult laughs. Another child learns something about the wonderful world they live in. Another adolescent is inspired to follow a path in the arts. Another adult becomes more interested and tuned into their child’s education. But most importantly, Jim Henson is remembered. Jim was shy in character, but it was said that he overcame that shyness best when speaking through the Muppets. Especially when he played Kermit, his alter ego. His body may have died, but he continues to live on through the Muppets he created which brought so much happiness to the world. The Muppets are what made him immortal. He will never be dismissed from the minds of America, as long as there’s a green cloth frog existing.
