As I'm sure you're all aware, Halloween is by far the greatest holiday on the face of the planet. So, that said, are you dressing up? Am I? Heck yes. As what, I have no idea. I get to dress up for school though, so I probably will because who doesn't like wearing a costume to school?

In other news, today was a half day of school pour moi. It was Parent's Visiting Day. Kill me now. Well, it wasn't really as bad as all that, but still...I'm shuddering here. And sadly enough (though I love her anyways) my mother did end up coming. Actually, about half of the parents did. So, basically, we did nothing in class because our schedules were shortened and there wasn't really time for anything. Math, though, was interesting. Does anyone else have anything like this at their school? Do your parents actually go?

Wow, two posts to the Blog of the Danmmed in one week. We're on a roll, people!

Yesterday I got to finally try driving, since I've had my permit for like two weeks now, and found it strangely enjoyable and difficult at the same time. Of course, that can be party attributed to the fact that I was trying to drive my dad's car, which is manual.

So my question is, how many of you guys have your permits and have driven, and how long do the drivers get to gloat to everyone else before they get theirs?

Moving...again

Yep. Again. We've decided to sell our house and move. It's not really surprising - I've been moving all my life. True, this will only be my 9th, but still...not many people can say they've moved across the street? So, we're going to put our beautiful (I don't do modest) albiet a bit (okay, way) too large house on the market and buy something new. Preferably something already built. I never want to go through building a house with my family again. So, we'll still be in Chester Springs, and aren't planning on moving till August at the earliest, but whatever.

Out of curiosity (part of why i'm posting) how many times have you moved? Ever lived in the same neighborhood twice? Different states? Spent 6 months with your grandmother? (not an experience I'd like to repeat, thank you very much...) Across the street? Spent two years building a house? Managed to live on practically every street in the same town?

Okay, I'm rambling. But seriously, I could make a fortune becoming an architect/builder/general contracter/interior designer/landscaper/carpenter, etc. God only knows I've had enough experience.

I'm a little worried about myself - I literally went through an entire pack of orbit gum while writing at my computer last night. Okay, so may I was sitting there for about 5 hours, but still...it was either the gum, or bite my lip till it bleeds.

Yesterday in English, while the rest of the class was discussing Romeo and Juliet, I was furiously (though subletly) working on this thing I've been trying to write. I didn't notice the blood until it was running down my chin. Luckily, no one else noticed and I quickly, er, had to sneeze and got a tissue. But still, is this normal?

I was reminded of class habits (i.e. the whole Katie/tongue thing...) and decided to post this...it's not like we really have anything else going on in this blog right now. Sorry, I know I'm strange...

Does it bother anyone else that todays fortune cookies rarely ever hold a true fortune within their crunchy cookie depths? Why is it that now you are more likely to find out that you have a sense of humor than recieve a fortune - a glimse at what fate has to offer you? I understand that obviously, every fortune you get will not necessarily come true, but a false fortune is much more fun than a cookie telling you that the weather is nice (which was exactly what a cookie told me tonight. Not "the weather is going to be nice" - "the weather is nice. Since when is that a fortune?) This is a problem occuring more and more frequently in this country today and quite frankly, that bothers me. What is the world coming to when the power to read our fortunes off a tiny slip of paper embedded in a chinese cookie is stripped from us? What next, I ask you...

Last night was the BS high freshman socail.... it was undoubtably the worst dance ever.... it started out like any other lame dance, everyone just stood around the entrance and bobbed their head to the music... then finally after like 45 mintues people start dancing.. which was ok expect that a lot of people had dates so it wasnt like a malvern dance were u just grabbed random people, which sucked cuase i didnt have a date... and they kept the lights on the teachers were literally standing in the middle... then all of a sudden the music stops and the dj's lights go out... and our principal ( a nun) comes on over the loudspeaker.... she had literally PULLED THE PLUG ON THE DJ... so she makes everyone in the dance SIT DOWN ON THE DANCEFLOOR... and she goes on this tyrate about inapproite dancing saying we look like dogs humping firehidrents, lol, and that our dancing was literally having sex with clothes on... then threatens us saying that if we dont stop the dancing we would have the sit in the auditorim for the rest of the dance... and she would fire the dj for playing inapproite music!!! so for the rest of the dance they LOCKED ALL THE DOORS to make sure no one left and put on crappy 80's synth pop, nat cole ballads... the dj had nothing but rap music so he kept playing the same crappy music over and over... until a sister gave him a... get this... CHRISTIAN ROCK CD... it was torture... literally... worst dance ever....

Va. Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginians who wear their pants so low their underwear shows may want to think about investing in a stronger belt.

The state's House of Delegates passed a bill Tuesday authorizing a $50 fine for anyone who displays his or her underpants in a ``lewd or indecent manner.''

Del. Lionell Spruill Sr., a Democrat who opposed the bill, had pleaded with his colleagues to remember their own youthful fashion follies.

During an extended monologue Monday, he talked about how they dressed or wore their hair in their teens. On Tuesday, he said the measure was an unconstitutional attack on young blacks that would force parents to take off work to accompany their children to court just for making a fashion statement.

``This is a foolish bill, Mr. Speaker, because it will hurt so many,'' Spruill said before the measure was approved 60-34. It now goes to the state Senate.

The bill's sponsor, Del. Algie T. Howell, has said constituents were offended by the exposed underwear. He did not speak on the floor Tuesday.

Spruill and Howell, also a Democrat, are both black.

Don't we all just love hopiday music on the radio? Not me, I think they suck....but anyway my parents just love it to death. We were listening to it on 88.5 XPN...apparently I was the only one paying attention. It was a song that was basically: "Santa's coming to town! Let's have sex! Santa's coming to town! Yesterday, whilst I was waiting at the eye doctor's, I was perusing the selection of magazines when one caught my eye. Across the cover was a picture of a spider and something to the effect of "New ways being developed to fight your phobias" This had my attention, so eagerly, I flipped through until I found the artical. I didn't read much as I was soon called by the doctor, but I did notice that along the bottom of the pages containing the artical was a short list of some phobias. There were quite a few intriguing ones, but out of all of them, my ultimate favorite was Arachibutyropphobia - the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of one's mouth.

This whole religion thing has gotten way out of hand. I have one thing to say to pretty much all of you, regardless of your personal beliefs or whatever. I say this unequivocally and without bias.

Okay, thank you. I'm not trying to be offensive or anything, but seriously. Just drop this whole subject. It's not getting us anywhere, and everyone's only getting riled up. I really don't care whether you worship Jesus, or Darwin, or a five-legged goat with the teeth of a tortoise and the tail of an antelope.

Religious tolerance, right? Isn't that supposed to one of the great things about America? I'm really getting sick of the whole "You're going to hell!" "No, you're going to hell!" thing. Also the "You're not going to hell, you'll just spend eternity slowly breaking down into your component molecules and atoms" thing.

Now, I'm not letting what I do and don't believe in interfere with me telling the lot of you to lighten up. We're teenagers. We're supposed to be worrying about our hair, not our immortal souls (or lack thereof).

Okay? Let's keep things secular, and keep out heated arguments on AIM and in the real world, where they might actually have some substance. It's easy to call someone a cockchafer over the intar-web, but a lot harder when it's to their face.

i was reading this...I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT WHILE I'M SURE THE BIBLE SAYS THAT, IT'S ALSO REFERRING TO GOD'S PRE-JESUS LAW. THE SAME THING THAT SAYS THINGS LIKE TO SACRIFICE ANIMALS DAILY FOR THE LORD. DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT GOD WOULD STILL HAVE US SACRIFICE ANIMALS DAILY???... and thinking... its understood that some stuff changes over time.. but does gods law really change?.... are the commandments obsolote in a world riddled with war and greed?.... think about it... does God really change his law to suit the times, or are we abandoning him by conforming a church to suit are everyday life... so yea Matt, u might just go to hell for not sacrifing that animal....

ok well i tried to comment this but its way to long... i noticed that a few people flipped over my last post... just felt like addressing it... ok first off chill, i just thought it was interesting to post, but yeah whole piont of the letter is and that arguement in general is not to disapprove god its to prove that u cant take everything in the bible literally. I know relegion is a touchy thing, but my opionin is that people use religion as a means to solve the problems that have with themselves, a self help line really. It's hard to explain without sounding really screwed up, but i beleive in religion becuase i know that its the natural way for a human to cope with the hardships of life and it actually is helpful to me ina a ton of ways, but i dont really beleive in a god. I also beleive the bible is a story, A STORY, not a historal or holy document. Its created to help people, its a source of socail codes and a way to forgive themselves for sins. Unforunatly its also a politicail tool, it was re-written many times before it was finallized into the canan (in the third century... so ha dont call me ignorant about this stuff) and re-intpreted to allow for unchallegned rule of kings, invasions and crusades (yes even iraq in a way, not to mention those crusades started the grudge that led to 9/11 leading to the war in iraq.. its all a big circle), the improtance of men in a household, and the prosecution of gays, blacks and any other religion still seem like a holy document? Even today people use religion to excuse all kinds of things, like bush with the war, take for example "christains for the death penalty", if they called themselves "upper white class citzens with no criminal record or chance of being arrested for the death penalty and against the tax pressure of prison" then it would seem cruel, but if their christian.. then ok, as long as its in the name of christ... U REALLY THIBK CHRIST IS FOR THE DEATH PENALTY?!?! id say he got the short end of that stick in his day!!! I mean read the bible, i think "dont kill" is a pretty clear commandment, or love thine enemies... same for the christains for the war.... how do u miss that?!?! Either way.. back to my orginail piont, religion is a self help line. and should be treated as such... u never hear from the "pyschic phill hotliners for the war" becuase its not a way of life its a way to cope with it...

I have been doing well in all of my subjects except geometry. I find it to be boring and pointless. We only get quizzes and tests and I haven't got anything higher than a B. So Quig and Ben how do you like geometry?

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's law. I have learned a great deal from you and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Laws and how to followthem:

1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not to Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev. 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states that he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

6. A friend of mine feels that, even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?

7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them (Lev. 24:10-16)? Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws (Lev. 20:14)?

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help.

Ok, as some of you may know, I'm taking dance as a sport. The part that sucks (besides the ballet factor) is the fact that I have to wear a leotard with a low cut in the front. So I was walking to the dance building and I was opening the door, this black widow spider jumped down from the roof. Happily making it's new home between my boobs. (I hear that like dark holes and cracks to live in...whatever.) I'm normallly not afraid of spiders, but when a poisonous spider decides dive into your clevage..you gotta problem. I didn't wanna flash any of my girl friends from dance (or this gay guy in dance but that's besides the point)...So I ran into the bushes to try to get it out, but it decided it jump out on it's own. I was truely thankful but I couldn't help thinking as I entered the building, "Oh...so I guess Gabo wasn't grood enough for him...or her..."
